Yep, and I go out of my way to avoid difficult games even if they look fun otherwise. I dislike being seriously challenged. I get discouraged or frustrated too persevere through countless failures, which also explains why I'm a 24-year-old virgin. I used to have a greater tolerance for challenge and would 100% games, but now I rarely bother with the really hard content. I am the exact opposite. When I was a kid, I'd always pussy out of doing almost any challenge so long as it wasn't necessary to beat the game on the standard difficulty. I used to be genuinely afraid of any sort of difficult challenge. As I've grown older and gotten better at vidya, I actually found that I love a challenge and frequently play hard games in order to improve my skill, which I find immensely gratifying. I love that I can look at everything that I've done and feel myself getting better and better, to the point where what I'm doing is almost impressive, and feel a lot of pride.

Nowadays, if a game is too easy, it bores me, unless it's just THAT fun.

Easy/Normal actually made the Witcher 3 worse. It was way more realistic to the books/character to play on harder difficulties, because it made you prepare for fights and act as a Witcher would.

Harder modes requires more knowledge of weak spots, usually working with more difficult AI, and having to utilize more strategy when it comes to elements like using cover, ammo conservation, kill priority, unit management, skill tree builds, and generally getting punished more for fucking up.

A lot of games you can basically faceroll through, but it becomes a lot more fun when you play on harder difficulties because it adds a ton more depth to the game.
