Why is it so hard for you to understand this?
>You aren't worth the risk
this is why anyone would reasonably be being told that by someone they thought to be a friend.

I don't get it, because who is better to date than someone whos like your best friend? this is all bullshit created so they can let us down easy

1. When men want a date, they usually act nicer to the person they want to date. This would involve potentially paying for them both to go out together, but generally includes listening to, caring for, and giving attention to her, in a way that is above and beyond that of a normal friendship. This relationship by definition has a tilted balance of power because the man is trying very hard to appease the woman. It's unfair to expect the "privileges" of being a potential date without the actual romance.
2. Ok, so this image asserts that women prefer not to go out with nice guys. In that case, who IS the more logical candidate? Either people she knows who aren't nice, which will likely lead to a bad relationship, or people she doesn't know at all. There is no more logical a candidate than somebody who you already know to be nice, and have common interests with.
The idea of deliberately keeping nice guy friends in the "friendzone" is a very bad mentality to have.
