I come from /out/ with a question for you robots.

Why don't you gets get the fuck /out/?

No seriously.

Why don't you guys go outside? Go camping, hiking, ect ect. If you're as autistic as you claim, it's an activity you can do alone, and no one has to see the spaghetti in your pockets.

If you want to meet people, join an outdoor club at your school or something. I read a thread here months ago that worked for one robot, was an epic thread and he saw boobs and got an otphj and hj if I remember right.

So, enlighten me, why don't you guys take up a new activity and get outside some?

OP here.

Living in a city isn't really an excuse. I don't live in a city but I have to drive 30 minutes to my normal outdoor spot.

Even living in a city, you'd be surprised how many state parks, state forests, or wild areas are close by (in the USA that is).

Which is why if you are that autismo, then you can hike/camp alone.

If you have a little desire to meet a waifu, then you can possibly find one in an outdoor group or hiking club.

55 degrees here right now, and I live in upstate NY. It's not cold at all. Especially if you're hiking, you won't be cold.

>>35072767
You might be surprised. It sounds cliche but the silence you find while being outside is deafening.

>>35072796
When you're sitting at home, you've never alone. You may think you're alone, but you're not. There's always someone in the next room, walking down your street, or in your neighbors house. You're always within a few seconds of seeing someone. You have your computer, phone, whatever, and you can talk to someone or post on 4chan at any time. You're not alone. Being outside you can actually be alone, being away from all your material things and bullshit thay surrounds you is liberating. It's pretty amazing how much perspective you can find when you're actually alone out in nature.

Pic related, I took it on the Loyalsock Trail near me (I was hiking with friends)

It's not really being more alone per say, it's just disconnecting from life for a bit.

Put it this way, you feel alone now yet you're not alone at all. Take a hike and put it in perspective what being alone is actually like. When you return home, you'll realize you never were alone all this time sitting on your couch.

>>35072923
Walking is free. Physical activity is good for you.

>>35072491
Not interested in meeting people. I love nature. I hate where I live. I live in the ghetto inside of a desert. Gets up to 130F out here in the summer. Nothing but roads and buildings in all directions. One "park" but it's just a patch of dead grass and dirt. I have spent several hours on nightwalks in every direction just searching for a SINGLE place to lay down or sit, or a single nice place to go, and there isn't a single place.

Also, I'm 300 lbs and agoraphobic. When I was a kid I lived near a forest and spent every moment out there until it got dark. I was a twig. Have barely left my bed since we moved to this shit place. If I lived somewhere I could go outside and be alone in the forest I would spend every waking moment out there. Even though I'm agoraphobic when it rains I still like to look out my window and watch it from beginning to end. Rain is the only thing that cures my depression. I used to stand outside and stare at the sky for hours just soaking in the rain with my hands in the air. Makes me feel alive. Makes me feel anything at all. I still like to go outside in the dead of night and just stare at the stars and clouds for hours. Endless entertainment.

No, because I can only get shitty casual work that pays nothing. It's funny the similarities between some boards.

Take /r9k/ and and /out/ for instance. You guys don't like "normies", reeeeee and all that. They don't understand you, and you don't want to be like them.

I read a comment like "it's 25 and too cold to go outside" and I'm instantly like "haha fuckin normie".

Of course I don't use "normie", but you get the idea. To me it's funny how someone can sit inside and think 25 degrees is somehow too cold to be outside.

Honestly, compared to sc/out/s... robots are about as nomie as you get.

Well I think to an average person that doesn't hike (aka a normie to /out/), these are valid concerns .

First, you don't have to go alone. You can of course, but it's not a requirement.

The purpose is to enjoy being outside. For someone that hasn't been out much, it seems odd. Honestly though, seeing nature, smelling the clean air, exploring a trail... it's amazing how rewarding those experiences are. They're sometimes life changing.

As for hurting your feet and exhausting yourself, if you're doing that, you're hiking wrong. There's no reason your feet need to hurt and other reason you need to be exhausted.

>where am I going, why?
This may be hard to explain, but when you're hiking, it's not about the end result. It's not about where you get to. In every other aspect of your normie life, you are going somewhere, to get somewhere. Hiking is about the journey, it's about the hike, it's about the experience. Every rock, every unique tree, every overlook, rock facing, or hill can be a sight. Every animal you see, every step you take, every move you make, I'll be watc.... wait this is becoming a Police song.

But it is about the journey. It's not about where you're going, it's about how you get there.
>>
>>35074004
Such binary thinking. You've spent your entire life without ever going 15m away from a screen. You're so accustomed to having a screen to feed you entertainment on demand that you can't imagine even one day without it.

You fail to comprehend just how evil human beings are, or you're evil yourself. If you want to step out into the real world and be "friends" with so-called human beings who have a secretive desire for mass genocide and slavery, then you're either naive or a clinical psychopath.

The alternative is being a shut-in for the rest of your life, but that's far more honest than forcing yourself into social relationships where people harbor unsolicited hatred for you just for belonging to a certain race or creed.

OP here, that post wasn't me. I came here to try and help a few robots out, since I see some similarities between us.

I used to be an indoor viddya game player who dreamed of having a qt girl to chill with.

I'm older now, I'm married to a qt, have a great house, decent paying job, and a love of the outdoors.

If any robot wants to camp, I'd gladly take them and definitely not rape them in the woods where no one can hear you scream.

Jk, but seriously I hope at least one robot takes a look at this thread and maybe laces up their shoes and goes for a walk.

No, it doesn't have that much traffic, but there's always multiple of these threads on there

There are literally too many to list. The Adirondack park in NY is enormous. It's bigger than Yellowstone, Yosemite, Grand Canyon, and Glacier national park COMBINED.

If you want somewhere with no people, you either have to hike a long way, or pick a spot that's not popular.

For me, any small state forest works. You may run into a random hiker but that's it. Most of them have trails, and you can dispersed camp anywhere in them.

The best way though to go without people is going when it's colder. From November to March there's hardly ever anyone hiking.

The easiest thing by far is to find your closest state park. Put on a comfortable pair of shoes (that have some traction) and go there.

Pick up, or download a trail map, and follow a trail. You can hike for an hour or 2 hours, or 8 hours... whatever you like.

I'm not familiar with Albany (I'm near binghamton), but looking at a map there's 4 or 5 state parks very close. Read about them and go to whatever you like, or whatever is closest.

You don't need anytning special. I'd bring a small backpack with a bottle of water, and a snack, and a map of the state park. Almost every state Park will have a brochure.

Nothing else is really needed. Just get out and enjoy the scenery.

thank you for the encouragement.

what about camping? i would guess that it requires more equipment and knowledge. what's the best way to get into that without accidentally killing yourself?

Start with hiking, and get a feel for being outside. Make sure you like it (you will).

Camping is harder, but it's not hard. Start out car camping. You basically load a car up with your stuff, drive somewhere and camp. Most state parks have designated camping areas. You pay a small fee and camp there.

You can always start a thread on /out/ for help.

You really just need a few things for car camping. You'll need:
-Tent to sleep in
-Sleeping bag to stay warm
-Sleeping pad to keep the hard ground from freezing you and being hard.

Bring any food you want, and lots of water.

Bring a folding chair to sit on, and firewood if you want a fire (gas stations often sell bundles of wood of you have none). Starting a fire is easy, but read how before trying.

Bring a few flashlights and a lantern if you have one.

That's basically it. There are lots of other things you can bring, but you'll learn as you go. Again, /out/ can help prepare you as well, just don't listen to the idiots who tell you to spend $200 on a knife and to make your shelter out of dirt and sticks.

At least there's one robot out there this thread may have helped.

If I lived closer to Albany I'd join you anon.
