I bought a first gen i7 back in 2008 because I'm a retard and missed out on the god tier 2500k/2600k era. My motherboard died so I bought a 4690k in 2014 and missed out on the superior 1151 and DDR4 a year later.

Do you guys not remember every AMD product launch for the past 10 years. Never get hyped until real world benchmarks come out. Heck they've had two chips in the last 15 years which have required microcode patches that degrade performance >10% after launch just to not randomly corrupt data.

Don't get me wrong, I'd love AMD to do well, I just haven't been able to rationalize shittier performance to save a buck since the original AMD64 was actually better than Intel.

Fewer than X99, more than 1155. 24 isnt too bad imo, you can run two GPUs at 8x, and with the leftover lanes plus lanes the chipset gives you have enough room left over for a decent PCIE SSD setup. No point in going with more than 2 GPUs anyways, the industry is slowly starting to drop even that.

Lets just hope that the benchmarks werent fucked with, i really want Ryzen to be good.
