Does anyone remember the arc of how Pepe developed. I think the slow appropriation of normies led to a fascinating, and somehow natural dramatic arc.
I remember when someone saw an unusual Pepe image and asked "hey mind if I save this image friend?". It caught on and soon people were producing "rare pepes" with watermarks on them, etc.
Eventually a high volume of these images lead to the Pepe economy meme. At this point the idea of rare pepes had started proliferating outside of r9k and reach the first shores of retard/normiedoom on Reddit.
In response to this, the Poo Poo Pee Pee was developed to dissuade normies from using their meme.
Alas, it was too little too late. "Sad frog" had already migrated fully into normie realms, and the attempt to associate Pepe with images of shit and murder were futile. After this, the Pepe/wojak friends series started, in response to their very hostile relationship depicted in Poo Poo Pee Pee.
