OP at first try to talk normal, but have the conversation ready to lead to Plan B if she's repulsed.

Plan B: admit you have a (mild) case of autism and that you are simply not good with social cues. Also, apologize for that behaviour, and tell her you are awfully sorry, about everything, the incident, making her feel uncomfortable for the rest of that day, etc.
