I don't know whats wrong with me. For the past year I haven't been able to make much. I fiddle around with music production stuff every day and I do enjoy it still, but I can't fucking get anything finished, I'm never happy with the shit I nearly complete. I might then turn for something more "organic" and try to record some shoegaze stuff with my electric guitar, but I always feel like I need vocals for the style of shit I do and I can't sing for shit.

I also learned some time ago that having vocals means that the song itself can be of lower quality, less inventive and overall more simple because the vocals often take the lead unless its something like shoegaze.

Sounds nice and has potential. Work on how you want each part to feel and then translate that into the chords you're playing. Roots 3rds and 7ths are most important, 5ths can fuck off, and every else is color, which is subjective and can't be put into words easily. Experiment in any case. Also, you can play a 1to4-note chord and add chord notes afterwards to further the melody. You can cut off the chord completely or do the notes by tapping, since it's a slower song.

It's not that easy.

Writing a quality book would take years. I don't want to submit something to a publisher unless I'm completely confidence in its worth. Getting a book put into print is also notoriously difficult. People have mailed excerpts from classics out to editors only to be turned down dozens of times.

I'm also incredibly good at spotting problems in my own ideas. I have one idea for a story that I've been tossing around for ages, but I can't make it all make sense.

I am a classical saxophonist who plays on Buescher saxophones from the 1930s because they are closer to Adolphe Sax's original design and provide, in my opinion, an absolutely gorgeous tone that is unrivaled by any woodwind. Modern saxophones have changed over 90 years to accommodate jazzier mouthpieces and louder dynamics and these saxophones and those who perform on them today provide a window into what Adolphe Sax truly intended for saxophone - use as a classical instrument equal in standing to other woodwinds, combining the carrying power of the brass with the sensitivity of the strings.

While much of the repertoire performed by my favorite saxophonists on this equipment is modern and quite weird, the two examples I have here are quite reasonable.

What should I think about when buying an electric guitar? Do their tones really differ that much?

No one can really tell you what to get, it's all preferences.

Go to a music store, go into the back room, start plugging them up, play a few songs on each, and then pick the one you want.

That's basically it. Whatever feels best to you. If it doesn't work quite well, just buy some new strings or a new pick up, it's not that big of a deal.

I'm gonna be recording a cd for my oneitis with covers of my fav songs (some of them are hers too) while I'm visiting my parents this week and the next. They have a piano and my electric guitar is there. I'll have 10 days to record about 11 songs. Or at least get to record the piano parts since i dont have one where I live and who knows when will i visit them again.

I'm putting all my heart on this project and i'm going to let her know it. I've been feeling down because she's been distancing from me, even though I know she has some feelings for me. Anyway, when I decided i was going to do it i got my spirit up. Hopefully it goes all well but even if that's not the case i'll be glad I tried to say what I feel with my music and voice to a girl I really like.

the way it sounds, the way it plays, how comfortable you can handle it, AKA whether or not it feels "stiff". Something else to look for is seeing how high the "action" is, i.e. the distance between the strings and the fretboard. if they're too high up, it makes it much harder to play. don't worry about buying brand names, buy the best guitar.
