What I'm saying is, it's stupid to think that these women aren't "putting any effort into they're appearance". Eh, if you say so. I think this is acceptable casual clothing; of course she should dress up to attend a dinner, or to go to church, or even to non-grocery type stores. She looks like a student having lunch at a cafeteria, being practical, clean and comfy are the top priorities of a student. Up until last year, I wore either a blouse or sweater, paired with an appropriate skirt and socks/hosery nearly everyday, and while it was cleaner look, I would wind up worrying more about my skirt hiking up or blouse ruffling than my school work. When dressed more casually, it is easier to focus and much comfier. As an added bonus, it makes the occasions that require formal clothing all the more fun. I imagine other fenables have a similar thought process.

I still like trackshorts+tshirt a lot, though it seems I'm alone in my opinion it's a cute outfit, ah well.
