Are movie/tv shows which have robots as protagonist?

Elliot in Mr. Robot
>inb4 he had sex once so he's a normie now.
>>35028286
...okay...but no.
>>35028286
Don't know how to feel about Elliot.
He's a robot, but he's also not a robot, and the way he acts it's a bit unrealistic.
Even Andrew from Chronicle, with his super powers is a more believable character than Elliot
Elliot is just what we call a failed normie/ robot but he assumes that.>>35028438
>>35028450
I don't think he's a failed normie either.
(or maybe a normie with serious mental issues)
He's just a stereotype created by a normie, like pic related
Simon from the first two seasons of Misfits, before he became Chad Chadington. A true robot at first.
Abed in Community is a literal aspie

>Chronicle
Akira was better.
Autistic protagonists with hyper intelligence is a meme now, and they're done poorly
sherlock
true detective
hannibal
etc.
>>35029198
How is Hannibal autistic? He's way more sophisticated and educated than anyone else on that show, easily seducing any woman.
>>35029266
>>35029198
Ah, never mind, didn't see protagonist, I only read Hannibal.
>>35029266
I mean the detective guy
The alpha kind of robot.
>>35029292
Sociopath, silly. It's what autists want to be.
>>35029322
I'm pretty sure large portion of guys here has some kind of personality disorder.
>>35028491
The first two seasons of misfits were the only two good ones, all the others were fucking trash.
>>35029347
Yes and it's mostly autism
Project Almanac
Guys a nerd who's shy of girls except his sister
Also its a pretty good mindfuck film
>>35029362
>>35029347
DSMV says that autism is a development disorder
>>35029266
He's not autistic, he's sociopath.
>>35029392
I'm on the spectrum as well, I guess I didn't develop the part that knew that
Detachment.
A bittersweet life.
There's a third one I want to mention but I can't remember.
>>35028275
Jason in The Place Beyond the Pines.
>>35029347
No, most of /r9k/ wants to believe they have a personality disorder when really their only problem is being shy
>>35029359
Nah. I actually loved Rudy, the guy is much better actor than Nathan was. But yeah, it was all about him in the 3+ seasons. The first two were the best.
And since i already mentioned movie with Gyllenhaal, which is great actor for playing the weirdoes, gotta mention Donnie Darko.
The best robot movies are taxi driver and the king of comedy, both by scorcese and de Niro.
Taxi driver especially is r9k incarnated.
