Since we are basically forced into existence which in itself is meaningless (according to your beliefs), then it makes sense to do the things that make us feel good until we cease to exist, seeing as nothing really matters, and meaningless existence is still better spent laughing or feeling good than being bitter and indifferent.

Do or find the things that make YOU feel good and devote your life to doing those things, ignore everybody else as you said yourself, it does not matter what THEY think in the slightest. It matters how YOU feel, so spend your time figuring what makes you feel good and do those things for yourself.
