Yes. The most common way people die on the toilet is attempting the valsalva manoever, which is where you bear down to try to force the poop out. It's the same mechanism responsible for causing heart attacks while shovelling snow.

You can die from pooping too much, or too little, or straining whilst you poop.

Apparently, camping-related poop incidents are very common e.g. people go camping with friends but can't deal with pooping in a forest without walls around them so they try and hold it, and by the time they realise they're having a medical emergency it's impossible for them to poop (impacted feces jamming the colon so they can't poop even if they want to), so they have to be medevaced out (which if you're out in the forest and there's no roads means an expensive helicopter flight)

Keeping regular is no joke.

I once held my poop in for 18 days as a toddler. I actually remember how bad it hurt. I was against pooping for some reason so i just held it. Probably after a few days i just didnt have to go cause it was solid AF. Mom got really concerned but apparently kids have held their shit in for like 1 month so doctor said it wasnt a big deal. Cant remember if that was the time i hot the enema or laxatives.
