Having something to live for. Be it a job, a person, a hobby, an organization or an achievement. Anything at all, humans are goal oriented creatures. I remeber when I started Uni after being a NEET, just going out and working towards a degree was enough of a goal to enjoy get up each day. Now I got better goals and enjoy living more then sleeping.

Without something to look forward to, you are nothing but a eating, sleeping husk. That's not living.
