I've been looking for some new favorites, but all that comes up in google search are the most overplayed classical songs. This board seems to have excellent taste in art. Post some lesser known classics, or just your favorite songs.

I'll start the thread off with this

>>
check Moondog, he was a robot btw, check his st album from 1989, it's like pocket symphonies, not to long songs but each one is beautiful and catchy
>>
I have to be careful with some I've nearly had an accident because of some stuff. I get really detached and start twitching, sobbing or tingling through my body really intense and I just check out.

I don't know what it is but classical music is like Crack LSD for autists.

I would suggest but I'm a turbo pleb and don't even know the names of songs and composers. One day I'll study music. Lately I've been reading about molds, bacterial enzymes, amoeba chimera small, etc.. I don't need to know much to enjoy music. If I'm focusing on words and shit I'd just as soon trawl researchgate and beg for copies of stuff. They never give up the goods but maybe one day. Lots of free articles available at least.

I can't get enough Chopin. Amazing piano, such beautiful music.

But you need to explore all the classics and their mentors/mentees

Franz Lizst is my favorite composer of all time.

In addition, Itzhak Perlman is probably the most talented violinist of our time and I cannot recommend his performances enough.

Faggot. Chopin is superior to liszt, even though they were gay lovers

Chopin is also a master, Lizst is just my personal favorite. You're entitled to your opinion. Why don't you post some of your favorite Chopin pieces?

Sure. Any of the 32 Beethoven Sonatas is great-tier Classical Music.

I'm working on the second Sonata in A Major. It's an early Beethoven piece but It already demonstrates his genius.

Also, his Eroica Symphony. It was supposed to be dedicated to Napoleon Bonaparte but he changed his mind after witnessing Napoleon's behavior.

Chopin's Nocturnes and Polonaises. The nocturnes are very soothing. The polonaises are quite heroic and passionate.

Liszt' Consolation No. 3 is a very common favorite.

Mozart's Jupiter Symphony. A noble piece.

Haydn's Surprise Symphony. This piece demonstrates his humor and wit. Also, his last piano Sonata. His string quartets. His last Symphony.

Any of Bach's Well Tempered Clavier preludes and fugues. His Air for Orchestra in G Major.

Schubert's Op. 90 Impromptu and his unfinished symphony.

Schumann's Papillons Op. 2 and some of his other piano works.

Brahms Hungarian Dance 2 and 5. Those two are my favorites.

Rachmaninoff Prelude in C Sharp minor. His Op. 23 G Minor Prelude. His second piano concerto. Rach two hand piano pieces.

Tchaikovsky Nutcracker Suite. His June piano piece.

Mendelssohn Midsummer's Night's Dream. The Wedding March (used in weddings).

Grieg In the Hall of Mountain King

Debussy Three Preludes. The Arabesque I and II.

Wagner Ride of the Valkyries.

George Gershwin Rhapsody in Blue, three preludes. His Porgy and Bess (Catfish Row Orchestral Suite) if you want some energetic music.

Albright Sleepwalker Shuffle.

Just a few to name.

I admire Liszt's great piano skills as well. He was a great composer too. He pushed boundaries in music towards the end of his life.

Not necessarily 'classical' since it is modern, but I love me some post-minimalism.

If you like this stuff, watch the movie Koyaanisqatsi, it is basically a movie-length music video, a fantastic and captivating marriage of music and photography.
