i used to work for time warner/charter, which is partnered with whoever owns mcafee, and it really wasnt hard. you just go to your all programs screen or whatever and remove every and anything mcafee.

i know, quite anti climactic, but hey! people are morons! maybe you actually do need that uninstall mcafee tool john's pawn mentions in the video, but as far as my calls went, it wasnt necessary!

i actually remember a specific old woman who called me twice, which has an extremely, extreeeeemely odd occurance. she wanted an antivirus the first time she called, and because of company policy i recommended her and helped her install mcashit, even though i was subtly hinting that it was crap. a couple of weeks after that i received a call from her one more time. she told me that ever since she installed that piece of shit she was getting pop ups telling her to get time warner, a service which she was clearly already using. i helped her uninstall it.

im sorry if that doesnt make much sense, im drunk and reminiscing. how i hated, yet i enjoyed that job at the same time. pottery.

i want to complete that post by saying that i believe intel owns it nowadays.

it was a nuisance. getting a mcaffe call meant having to spend around 1 hour in the call, which hurts your metrics. i honestly didnt care about that though.

man, i feel nostalgic even though i hated that shit. just the other day i dreamt that i was taking wifi tech support call. ahh, the good old days which werent really that good to begin with. one day im gonna look back and whish i had appreciated them more. i already am.
