I used to have real bad problems with Shadow People. I remember I was in bed one night, I was feeling kinda shitty, the light in the hallway was on...and there they were. Exactly like you'd expect a shadow person to look like, minus the head which looked a bit blocky.

I stared at them for a while. I think they waved at me. I couldn't scream. I hate not being able to scream.

Finally, I turned on my light and they went away. My mom looked in and was like "Honey, you need to go to sleep". I tried explaining that there was a fucking shadow person but she was like "I'm sure there was sweetie now go to sleep you have school in the morning."

I don't know if it actually happened or not but I've made my peace with shadow people.

No. They're all demons or figments of the imagination, depending on what you believe. People who claim to see shadow people have seen the one in OP quite often. That being said they can't hurt you unless you open yourself up to them. Religion can create a spiritual barrier that can either protect you if you hit the right one or at least dissuade you from wanting to interact with them.

I was a meth addict for the better part of 2013 and I became intimately knowledgeable about shadow people. I've had more experiences than I could count, I loved it. Other addicts around spoke of that psychosis with a fear, it was the boogeyman every addict wanted to avoid. I found it enjoyable. The terror would cause adrenaline, it was great. I also understood what caused them to appear as well, so I never was taken over by delusion when I was cognizant. Did OD few times and lost my shit though.

I could tell a few stories if anyone wants. Time I almost ran over a shadow person and time i had to protect my home from an invasion of them stick out.

What kind of stories are you wanting anon? General meth related degeneracy or stuff relating to shadow people? Most of the stuff involving shadow people is just meth antics while being watched and/or yelling at shadow people.

I've never seen one with a hat but I get sleep paralysis all the time. I know not to open my eyes anymore but when I used to there were all sorts of different ones, some were short and childlike and others so tall they had to hunch over to fit in the room. Those were pretty rare, most of the time I saw one that was average height so anywhere between 5'8-6'ish. Sometimes they'd sit there, other times they'd be walking around or climbing up the walls or something of that nature. They're never in focus, the one exception was when I saw one with clear muscle definition and nothing but a big set of teeth on his face.

I've also gotten non-shadow people hallucinations during sp as well. Mostly auditory, I'll wake up and hear a huge shootout, screaming, something heavy hitting the floor etc. I also usually feel like I'm getting dragged out of bed by my leg, getting touched, poked, feel like there's something kneeling on my chest/back. The most disturbing was when I felt something lick my face, that was when I realized I should probably just keep my eyes shut when it happens.

I am somewat a self taught mage, and did pacts with demons and the like since then. I give this info bcs that shit augmented my supernatural perception and almost was a second evil personality to me.
My current gf exorcised me now at my 31years and i literally stoped feeling supernatural things.

Never experienced SP.
But I saw the shadow folk VERY often and vividly during a couple of years when I only slept every other/third night.

In that half-dreaming state sometimes bordering on psychosis things I thought of as their pets scuttled about in the periphery constantly, no matter where I was, even in bright daylight.

What I remember most vividly is the strong sense of annoyance at best and at times the pure wrath that they projected due to being seen, as if I was invading. I often cried out of frustration as I did not want to spy on them but they perceived me as an intruder, not the other way around. They watched constantly and I tried my best to keep my head down, pretending that I could not see them.

The solution was LSD; After tripping balls a few times it was as if the spiritual/religious Feels of nature worship and pure "connectedness" with this universe/realm put the barriers back up.
