Are all these paintings the same anon? They're really great. I have some "artist" friends who paint and go to art school but none of their work is as inspired as this. It's funny how easy it is to tell a true creative apart from people who are just trying put on a facade

I would so very much like to make creative things, but I have exactly zero creativity at all.
As such, I suck at everything that involves creativity, starting from the arts, writing, math, even at playing go I suck balls because of my absolute lack of creativity.
I just wanted to vent this because I saw a pretty pic somewhere which inspired my desire for creativity

I was just about to post in the last thread before it 404d, bollocks

I put out an EP in December; it's kinda post rock crossed with classical contemporary minimalism bollocks - https://mechhound.bandcamp.com/

>>34992121
Trippy, reminds me of Salvador Dali

>>34992240
Have you tried any creative outlets as a form of venting? I like to write poetry when I'm overcome with jealousy, rage or other forms of hopelessness - emotions, especially negative ones, are a great motivator and inspiration, I find

>>34992345
>>34992388
Seconded, /mu/ is a bit snobby but these creative threads are the most positive thing about this board

>>34990880
>>34992638
It's comfy, I like it

>>34992438
Sounds promising; I recommend you check out the synthwave artist woob, they've really gotten me interested more in electronic music kinda like yours

>>34992466
That's something I like to debate myself - who am I making this music for? If it's purely for myself, why upload it? I have a backlog of a lot of songs I won't let see the light of day, but it's nice to revisit them myself.

The reason I put some music online is that someone else might like it, too.

Sounds great, a little trip-hop-y I can see it being part of a video game soundtrack to something like Final Fantasy. The EQ sounds fine to me, though the bass wants to be made tad louder; great use of panning too

I recommend you try out the artist Morti Viventear, they do similar sounding stuff
>>

Here's an EP thing I wrote like last year.

https://motelguide.bandcamp.com/releases

I've been kinda disappointed with it ever since due to just kind of rushing it all but whatever. I've written a lot of what I think is much better stuff since but haven't gotten around to recording any of it yet. Hopefully I'll the get the motivation back one day.

I write

Thats the start of the last short story im doing, admitedly not my best work since im having a huge writer block of sorts.

If I create something that nobody enjoys, it should be destroyed and it is my policy to destroy it.

"Urban Landscape":
Light as your soul the sky is shining
Bringing your feels apart
Bright as your tears the sun is lighting
Taking you passion out

Reflections in the buildings
Landing in the street
White semi-polluted noise
Sleeping through your knees

Distorted sun-rays hitting the pavement
A roof covering your thoughts
Down from Liniers to Caballito
The glass reflects your moods

Light as your soul the sky is shining
Bringing your feels apart
Bright as your tears the sun is lighting
Taking you passion out

Slight anxiety as the wheels spins
Heavy depression hits
The music numbing your nerves feels like
It will reveal indeed

Distorded rain-drops hitting the leaves which
Creates a comforting noise
Down from space into your iris
Calamity has a song
And it's calm
And it's fun
And it's warm
It's calm

Light as your soul the sky is shining
Bringing your feels apart
Bright as your tears the sun is lighting
Taking you passion out
It's taking you passion out
Making your feelings wilde
Tearing your eyes apart
Inspiring a brainstorm
Full of life

This one is "Rainy May Day":

Dark, cloudy thoughs
Cleansing our sky
Stars turn invisible
Time stops passing by
Living the dream baby
Hair won't dry
Staring at infinity
Down becomes orange

But here comes the rain girl
Here comes the rain
The thunders will bury our dreams
Here comes the rain

Noisy, comfy raindrops
Hitting up our minds
Grey becomes the image
Of you passing by
Living intense baby
Under a broken sky
Evading cars, the street
Reflects your light

But here comes the rain girl
Here comes the rain
The thunders will bury our dreams
Here comes the rain
But here comes the dream girl
Here comes our rain
The lightnings will kill us baby
Here comes the rain

My eyes
Can't handle it anymore
So many
Things i have seen before
My mind
Travels through space and time
While
It rains outside
It rains inside
This rainy may day
Will take us high
A stormy may day
What a day to die

But here comes the rain girl
Here comes the rain
The thunders will bury our dreams
Here comes the rain
Here comes the rain
There she comes again
Here comes our rain girl
I love the rain

"One Way Trip to the Great Attractor":

I can see the light
Of a billion stars
I can feel the night
Speaking to my heart
You all will see me part
To never come back
As we are attracted
To follow the track

Because the nothingness seems bright
Like a nebula in the night
Because it's very plausible
We won't survive

But here i come my friend
So don't stand by too long
We finally did it, reached up to you
I hope you were expecting
With some eyes to show
As we are finally here, we wonder who are you?

It's cold and very dark
Like dark matter spark
And i can't seem to find me
Something to benchmark
Did i save them all?
Will i forever crawl?
On unlimited space
Up on this quantum ball

Because the nothingness seems bright
Like a satellite at night
Because it's very plausible
I won't come back

But here i come my friend
So don't stand by too long
I finally did it, reached up to you
I hope you were expecting
With some eyes to show
As i'm finally here, i wonder where are you?

Seventy-nine, mega-parsecs,
Was it all for nothing?
For you did the, human concepts,
Ever mean something?
Now what, shall i attend?
Am i now hunting?
For a star, that may appear,
But can stay hidden

Because my nothingness seems bright
Like a spark of hope in space's sky
Because it's very plausible
I won't come back

But here i come my friend
So don't stand by too long
I finally did it, reached up to you
I hope you were expecting
With some eyes to show
As i'm finally here, i wonder where are you?
Now that i came my friend
You won't stand up much longer
I finally did it, reached up to you
I hoped you were specting
With some eyes to show
As i'm finally here, i wonder where are you?

i paint on oil. im to slow for acrylic and i make too many mistakes for watercolor. sketchs with pens and pencils. not sure what you mean with resources. if you mean learning resources theres a very good magazine called the artist's magazine that has good tutorials and tips on it , if you mean tools there are student oils that are substantially cheaper than professional ones

Here's a new script for a sketch I wrote recently.
It's based on a true story that makes me laugh my ass off every time I remember it.
http://docdro.id/MZLBIn3
In the next draft, I need to emphasise the tour guide is bullshitting a bit more clearly. In the current draft, it seems like he is genuinely serious the whole way through. It would come across easily when performed (if directed to do so) but in text form it's not as clear.
The ending could probably use more impact as well.

I'm getting a lot better at writing my scripts. I'm pretty happy about it.

No need to apologise, I post these to get feedback and see how people respond.
The tourist taking pictures was something I built up to try and bolster the ending. So in addition to the tour guide being revealed as just a clever old perv, you've got the tourist taking pictures of the people undressing.
I can see how that aspect isn't as strongly presented. Adding in his commentary on each picture he takes could help with that.

As far as extending the sketch, I'm considering some ways of how to do it.
>Cut back to the tour guide's office, he and his co-workers are laughing about how the tourists actually did it.
>A second tour group walks past while they are naked and embarrassed. They're fully clothed and their guide makes no mention of any "sacred land". They continue on normally as the perverted tour guide remarks "It was worth a shot."
Those are the only ones I'm thinking of that seem to flow as well.

Finding a strong line or moment to end on is probably my biggest weakness. I can identify the problem but I find it hard to come up with a solution.
>>

>A second tour group walks past while they are naked and embarrassed. They're fully clothed and their guide makes no mention of any "sacred land"

This picture was drawn by a guy by the name of Jeff Watts. The man has said something to the effect of he'd prefer to have a hard work ethic to any natural ability and the same for the students he teaches. Just food for thought.

Stop making excuses and practice what you have a passion for.
>>

Appreciate it.

I do have a good work ethic, no matter how ardorous a job is. Regardless, I still feel the urge to create something. The ability to manifest an idea into something real is to be envied.

The closest I came to that was working as a stone mason's apprentice. Felt great to see a finished project that you helped complete.

No problem anon. Also little tip

Whatever you imagine that you want to draw, find references, photos, organic forms, etc related to what you visualize. Practice drawing those every once in awhile then try again from your head. You say you like to paint but I know if you painted that much it would get expensive. Especially if its oil. Perhaps try charcoal, inkwash, and gouache for when you do these little studies. Might be easier on the wallet. You can get a "painterly" feel by still using a brush (or stick of charcoal) and really learning to make shapes and values which is critical for painting.

I was browsing one of those shitty porn "blogs" where they just have an array of random pictures and one was a set of this furry art. Some fox or squirrel bitches at a beach with squirt guns. I was horny and desperate enough to look for more. Hasnt stopped since. It was that or watching robin hood back in the day.
