Explain this shit

In America you have to pay $20 (give or take) a day to rent your work shirt and about $5 a day to rent your name tag.
Some bosses are huge dicks and jack up the price, citing "inflation" as the reason, but they rarely increase your wage to compensate.
They offer overtime if you can't afford food (can't have employees dying of starvation, the cost of new name tags gets too high), but overtime work is paid at only .75% of your base wage.
It happened to me too...I'm sorry OP.

Man don't even troll about this shit. Working overtime during holidays would usually triple my paycheck just from an extra shift.

Tell him you're not paying that shit or you're quitting. Don't sell yourself short, let him know that you don't have time for this shit and threaten to quit. Do it quickly and do it without his expectation so that you could push forward a maximum factor of surprise and shock at your ultimatum, specifically when he may need you.
>employees paying for tools they have to use
>getting less than standard pay on overtime
Yeah, nah.

Hahaha.
Some places do make you pay for your uniform and some actually do pay 75% if you work on a holiday. You have no idea the hell you are in.
