I loved it for a while. I genuinely liked some of the characters and many of the side quests were interesting. However, im a completionist and the shit sidequests (racing and filler) really irked me. The filler mostly annoyed me because the game was easy and i was already overleveled. It got to the point where playing was just annoying and it may as well have been a visual novel with very long loading screens so i didnt finish it.

I strongly feel that the game would be so much elevated if there was a hard level 20 cap and no filler quests. The combat wasnt bad it was simply horribly unbalanced if you overleveled.

I do, but there very overrated games. They're only as popular as they are because they're actually good while still being not too out of the normalfag comfort zone. It also helps that they're a little difficult, but not too difficult, so it gives those that can beat it a sense of accomplishment and almost everyone can beat it. Not that there's anything wrong with all that, because they are good games and they do deserve to sell well, but there are better games that don't sell as well as they deserve to as well.

You have not played DS2 until you played it in Virtua Fighter mode. Bone Fist/Cestus, Cestus/Bone Fist only. You get a ton of moves that are unique those combinations. You can do dragon punches and fireballs and baijiquan three-stepping. It's pretty badass and you have to take different approaches to the way you fight the enemies.

I came into soulsborne late and I'm a console babby. Bloodborne was my first and DS3 was my second, which I recently completed for the second time. I know a lot of people have low opinions of these games now but I still found both of them highly enjoyable. The quiet melancholy of DS3 especially. The quietness and solemnity of these games just have a special quality that I revel in and can't quite describe. You don't have to like them, but I love them.

You need to be fast and calculating. Roll between his legs outside of his attack radius and climb up the ladder then plunge. Don't spend too long up there because he will get you.

No matter what class you are if you focus on melee attacks always take off all armour before a battle. Speed is so much more valuable than any buff. Use rings for poise boost where possible and try to get the grass something smth shield to carry on your back for stamina boost. Always two hand your weapon when fighting bosses. Never lock on them. Dark Souls has got a steep learning curve at the start and it's rly difficult. If you get through blight town you should've become pretty gud at that point. But one month is a lot to still be struggling with the Taurus demon fampai. I had a hard time with the gargoyles after him and I spent forever at pikachu and biggie smalls they were like continuous punches to the pussy but if u struggle with Taurus then you're fundamentally not playing the game right. You need patience and to think when you play not button mash desu. This isn't skyrim, git gud or YOU DIED

Despite being the biggest letdown for me, video game wise, possibly ever (compare concept art, e3, etc.) I've come to enjoy Dark souls 2 for being a conpletely different game. It has some neat combat ideas, cool environments, and is meant to just be a casual coop experience.

I spent hours trying to love it. Scholar is probably what did it. Dark Souls one is still leagues ahead in almost every department, but there's a weird comfiness to Dark Souls 2.

It's like in elementary achool where there's that girl you hate but for some reason you kinda like her.

Arena, and pvp in general, the lore/story, and world itself (enemy placement pulled out of dev's assholes), and the community are all completely garbage and should be sent to video game hell.

The music was good too. Nash has such a good theme even though you only hear it for 5 aeconds because 30 lightning spears lmao.

I use dragon tooth sometimes but it's too cumbersome to utilize all the time. I only used Power Within for Four Kings to beat them as quickly as possible. The only buff I really use is Great Magic Shield too keep certain bosses from pushing my shit in. I haven't even tried red tearstone. I spent most of those play throughs getting every spell/ring/demon weapon/armor set and I haven't used the vast majority once.

I love DaS2 because I played it and played it. In my quest to do a no-death run I played it every way and truly came to appreciate the sheer breadth of viable build diversity. The one who finally cracked it was a giant-nosed explorer called Shekelstein. He hid behind a large shield, slinging his dark spells and poking with a spear.

I beat DS3 yesterday, did everything but Nameless King because fuck that math.

It was pretty disappointing. I didn't have any fun with the covenants because the game is dead and nobody's playing anymore. I missed out on like half the NPC questlines by just doing what felt natural. Lothric Castle had a really boring overdone aesthetic that even DS2 did better. Didn't really like ANY of the unique zone's aesthetics apart from Irithyll. Some of the bosses were cool like Aldritch, but you can really tell that they've run out of new ideas for this franchise.

I wish Bloodborne was on PC ._.
