In reality, people come to argue as a way to FIGHT the opponent, rather than to reach a better understanding of things.
People start with a set of preconceptions that they are not willing to question. Then they start attacking each other with the most blatant trolls, always using words like "cuck" "kike" and "shitskin" to ""validate"" their point.
Truth is, people in this site just come to deal with their own lack of self assurance by trying to put down others.
What is most funny is that this picture is passed around not because does it really represent the discussion standards of the people in this site, but just as a sort of roadmap to spot the fallacies in the other's argument.

I'll never understand this. He did what he literally always does, fuck with his user base. Does nobody remember ROW ROW on /v/? or Naruto Day on /a/? Why was /pol/ any different? Why could those boards take it in relative stride, but /pol/ couldn't? Because it was during goobergate, and /pol/ is a serious board for serious discussion? That day cemented two things we already knew.
