We write something that grasps the nature of our soul.
Wish it was different
Wish it was real
A captured moment I long to feel
I wish I was better
I wish I could see
A life of splendor lost at sea
Our love is in peril
A war with me

I mean... I'd rather not, honestly.

Instead, can you post more pics like that? It touches me deeply.

No, only poems
Upon my death, I beg thee not
To lay me down, in dirt to rot
Rather, burn my flesh and scatter my ash
Through the pines where in youth I did jump and dash
For in life, what I took I did ne'er deserve
So in death, let me not take space from the earth.

>We write something that grasps the nature of our soul.
You set the bar pretty high to be honest.

I just want you to try and write something that shows us how you are feeling. Whether it is good or not, at least you made something

this moment is like the last
just like the next
the future is as it is
nothing but gray

Your rhyming is okay. Can you write verse or did you just accidentally hit that rythm?
I fly with the stars in the sky
I am no longer trying to survive
I believe that life is a prize
But to live doesn't mean you're alive
Don't worry about me, or who I fire
I get what I desire; it's my empire
I call the shots
I am the umpire
I sprinkle holy water upon the vampire
In this very moment, I'm queen
In this very moment, I've slain Goliath with the sling
>Poems.
I buried that when the girl I loved made fun of me for sending her a poem.
And she made it public so I was humiliated by the people around me.
Poets are dead, women killed them.

That is how it came to me. Wasnt thinking about it that hard

Line 6 and 8 sticks out because they are entirely iambic(which makes them slower than the rest of the poem). Stick an anapaest or something in each of those and you're good.
