You need a degree for that unlike the military.

checked it out and you need a college degree which is bullshit because I'm smarter than most people that went to college
oh shit a thread I actually wanna reply to. I'm leaving the country in less than a month for the Peace Corps. Feels good to be doing something with my life for once.
OP are you a RPCV?
Why do you need to have a degree for this? Isn't it just volunteer work, in essence?

You don't necessarily need a degree, if you have a lot of relevant experience. Peace Corps is broken into fields of stuff like educations, environment, health, etc. So even if you don't have a degree, but you have loads of experience doing medical work or whatevs then you'd be fine.
It's because it's a federal job to some degree, you get paid the entire time over there, plus full medical insurance. You're also representing the United States so they don't wanna send just anybody. You gotta get medical and legal clearance first (though it isnt too strict, I got in, even though I have charges from awhile back).

Yeah. You don't need a degree.
I know a kid who did it right out of high school.
Not sure how, but I think he has some sort of trade certs or something.
My dad had a friend who did it. He had only been a mechanic for a few years.
