Who here is still recovering from that sound advice of "being confident!" and "feel the music!" and the painful experiences of having people move away from you on the dance floor?
4 years and haven't even thought about dancing again until I watched a Youtube video and it triggered me and the cringe came falling back on me

Tfw I will never dance again
Danced at this one show and got embarrassed ever since
i just don't dance
it is not something i have ever wanted to do so i've never had a reason to do it
helps that most of the live music i see tends to be stuff where it's normal to stand around and just watch while drinking a PBR and adjusting your flannel

it's freshman year all over again

freshman year never ends when you live in new york city and all your friends are hipsters
Dancing is shit unless it's ballet. You wouldn't want to practice surgery as a hobby, likewise, dumb whores shouldn't dance.

You didn't laugh it off.
If you ever embarrass yourself in front of people just laugh it off and pretend it didn't affect you. Then carry on with business as usual. This is what normal people do.
Instead you have carried this trivial event with you for years and let it affect your life. It's tragic and I hope you'll actually read what I've written here and remember it.
