Yes. We use statistic as excuses why we can't get jobs and cry about our appearances except just dealing with the cards we got. Boomers were independent at a younger age and way more ambitious.

Luckily millennials will be completely overshadowed by Gen Z, so people will hardly even remember or think about millennials.

Thank you jesus.

>Boomers were independent at a younger age and way more ambitious.

Don't make me laugh.

A boomer could be a drug addicted hippie with barely a high school diploma one day and the next day could walk into a fucking factory and get a 60k salaried position

It's a joke how much effort you need to put in these days to thread water. I see job postings that require master's degrees and CFA certified that pay 30k/year. I know people with M.Eng degrees that are working retail and commission-only sales jobs. These days everyone is competing for and jumping through endless hoops for the tiniest scraps on the table.

The oldest Gen Z is 17 years old, and most of them aren't even 10 yet, I don't know what you're expecting them to do.

>haha I'm born in 1998 I'm not a millennial

wrong retard: The generations are 20 years long and while there's some disagreement these are the general dates

post war baby boomers:1945-1965
Gen X: 1965-1985
Gen Y: 1985-2005

I've said this before but the people memeing about gen z are just younger millennials who are deluding themselves into thinking they're not millennials. gen z isn't even in high school yet.

Boomers raised millenials keep that in mind, we need to wait and see what kind of parents millenials make. Maybe they will rebel against their braindead fat ass parents and actually be good.
>>
I really don't get this "group everyone together in a single generation" meme.

Honestly I think its some sort of psy ops experiment that companies do.

They say millenials are all lazy and your typical millenial will think "What the fuck, I'm not lazy and I will prove them wrong by working my ass off for Goldenstein"

If there's anything to blame for how a group is perceived its probably due to the changes in education and parenting.
>>
>>34944024

What exactly is a millennial? I refrain from using the word because it seems unclear but I see it thrown around all the time.

I think it's better to define generations based on cultural shifts. For example, there was a gallup poll that showed that highschoolers overwhelmingly supported Trump, and most were fiscally conservative.
For this example, it would make sense to divide millennials and gen Zers based on when the cultural shift was most prominent.
>>
>>34942683
Boomers are the cause of the millennial shitshow

Boomers raised millenials.
its all their fault.

Gen Y and Millenials are synonyms.
>>
>>34942683
In some respects it was a toxic combination with regards to millenials.

>Raised to feel everything will go you way, you'll get everything you ever wanted.

Financial crisis hit, sudden realisation that there's intense competition in every job market but anons are still entitled so just give up and stay at home.

No. They aren't the ones who bankrupted the West and started the ubiquitous trend of cultural Marxism. If anything, Gen Y is the best gen in a while since they're the ones who started the resurgence of the right-wing. The FUCKING MILLENNIALS narrative is borne out of shitty clickbait headlines and MSM bullshit.
>>
>>34944024

That's not true at all. You're taking one stupid opinion and stating it as fact

>these are the general dates
They literally aren't. Shut the fuck up honestly

Medical advancements in the wake of ww2 mean it's taking longer for people to die off and make some fucking space.

Really we should be spamming the ever living fuck out of houses, but that devalues houses, so the politicians who own and operate houses don't want to make more.

Basically every problem can be solved by killing politicians en masse.

This is how easy it was to get a job back in the 1960s and 1970s. You literally walked in shook the manager's hand and got a job.

These days you're lucky to have a company respond to 2% of your job applications.

"I think getting a job was easier back in my day

I left school in 1980 and aqpplied for 8 jobs and got 8 job offers.

I was able to negotiate with the company I joined in the end, a better starting wage than was the norm."

"Back in the 70s and 80s when the pottery industry was still going strong around here you could quite easily leave one job in the morning and walk straight into another that afternoon."

"I discussed this with my mum at one point and she said when she left school she could become a Receptionist, Secretary etc pretty easily, her first job was admin in the local council.

Nowadays I haven't even got to Interview stage regarding my applications for (the few) Receptionist vacancies, depressing."

"In the 60's and 70's it was more a case of you doing the interview and then deciding whether you wanted to work there or not."

"In the 70s and 80s you could walk into a job agency, not have to produce a passport or anything else and they could send you for interviews there a then. You could get a job and start the next day."

"Was really easy in 70's, after a year of one job, left for similar with a third increase in pay. Got promoted and demanded an increase equivilant to older people in office and got it. Left after two years, same type of job for about a fifth increase in money.
It was like property, the jobs were there and you could get another one with a better pay cheque. Now it's an employers market, they want your character replaced with generic stupid buzz words and a nice sterile cv."
>>
The boomers sucked the economy dry and left the millennial generation to trudge through the muck left behind decades of corporatism.

So anytime there's accusations of millennials being entitled I can't help but fucking laugh out how delusional the person writing it must be.
