I bet you dont even like dogs, what a faggot.
Who /dachshund/ here?
>tfw your doggo is not long for this world
>>34927551
Dachshunds and Corgis are so adorable.
I don't, I like cats.

That dog breed Look so weird
>>34927601
I like both. My favorite dog breed is the Rottweiler, but I currently have a Chocolate Lab. I've owned quite a few cats too over the years. I find that yellow tabby males are usually more mild mannered than most others.

>tfw you'll likely just off yourself once your dog(s) is/are gone because they're the only other living being(s) with whom you've any connection to in all the world
>>34927664
Most Maine Coons are docile regardless of the color I think.

I've found that the long hair cats are higher maintenance. That fur coat attracts all kinds of spurs and thorns and tangles. Then there's the shedding.....not a big fan of shedding. Kind of the same reason I don't own a Husky or Corgi.

>nigger breed
no thanks faggot
>>34928297
That breed of dog costs several thousand dollars, niggers can't afford that.
tl;dr:
>always loved dogs
>dogs become a meme
>dogs become an asset for normies to wank over
i've always loved dogs and treated them with the same respect that i would offer humans, but i feel like they have become a meme lately. words like "pupper", "woofer", "doggo", "snoot", "boop", etc have boomed on normiebook and dogs are spammed left right and centre. i've noticed an increase in attention that dogs receive over the last 2 years or so. i feel like people have realised that by praising dogs, they garner social acceptance amongst their peers, particularly promiscuous people who are feigning a capacity for affection in order to win attention from other easy normies.
does anyone feel the same?
>>34928609
Where do you think the nigger's reputation for stealing came from?
>>34927551
I have a miniature /dachshund/ who looks kinda like pic related. Good shit

Similarly to you, but I'm not quite cynical enough to so often assume it's insincere virtue-signalling. I have noticed dogs being used (because let's face it, animals are always exploited in show business, and the only ones who profit are their owners) much more heavily in advertising during this recent decade.
I don't mind others using cutsey names to refer to dogs. Hell, I've lots of nicknames for my dog(s). I also speak to them like they're people, too. "Anon, are you alright?"/"Anon, do you want to go that way, or that way?"/"Should we relax here for awhile?"
>tfw you occasionally get an odd glance from somebody who hears you taking to your dog(s) as if they were another person/other people walking with you.

i am quite a cynic when it comes to insincere virtue-signalling; years of 4chan and SJW hate had probably jaded me somewhat, but i have certainly witnessed dogs used as an easy access point for PoAs. also there are lots of people i've met who instantly turn mushy and begin baby-talking the moment they see a dog, as if it were the most adorable thing they've ever seen, regardless of how ugly, attractive, well-behaved, or annoying the dog is.
i have one friend who is like this, and i caught him say something like "yeah, i just want to pat them without the responsibility of owning or caring for them" which caused me to sperg hard internally.
>talking to dogs as if they were other people
this is how i always talk to dogs, as well as the mentally-disabled, non-english speakers, toddlers, etc. everyone deserves to be treated with the same respect and so i assume everyone is at the same level until i can tell they need me to change the way i speak in order to communicate effectively.
dogs love me and respond extremely well when i treat them like equals.
