>>
you want the feeling of being hugged
>>

>>

I no shit had one in my shopping cart before I met my current gf. Needing another human is natural, and it's strange that you would be shamed for simulating that.
>>
>>34902355
>this faggot needs a hug with a sledge hammer
Don't ever fucking post on this fucking board again you son of a bitch faggot

didn't know this had to do with autism
I find it comfiest to sleep under several thick blankets and completely burrow myself into them
I don't like the idea of ever having to share my bed (and consequentially my blankets) with another person

Weighted blankets are actually useful for stress. So no.

Weighted blankets, as in ones purposefully designed to press down on you and restrict movement, are for autism.

Having a bunch of blankets over you to the point where it feels slightly heavier is not the same thing at all, that's just being cozy.

>weighted blankets
didn't know that existed holy shit
by sleeping with weighted blankets, you're making your muscle tone lift more than your own weight in a relaxed state. Kee this up, make it heavier and heavier, and your muscle tone's default strenght will compensate for your blanket, so without it you will be extra strong

you're literally doing goku training in your sleep, fucking genious

wouldn't a cat get really hot under a blanket?
>>
>>34902427
They sell autismo blankets in regular stores?

Until one night when you add a little too much weight and die of suffocation in your sleep because your chest can't expand.
>>
>>34906021
Once as a kid I had this ingenious idea that to save space we could have people sleep on both sides of a mattress.

What are weighted blankets? Are they just literally weight blankets that are heavier than normal or some type of anti-freak out autism device?

If the former, that must be the comfiest thing in the world. My parents had this really fucking big bean bag when I was a kid and I'd always lay under it with my two blankets also stacked on top of it.

It's not autism OP, it's comfy.
>>
>>34905637
they are pretty hot without
>>
>>34901739
A friend has one, and it's super comfortable.

>>34906265
They're pretty much just beanbags, but flat.
>>
Dude I want one but damn they're expensive.
>>
>>34906393
>They're pretty much just beanbags, but flat.
Neat.

I wish my mom had a sewing machine or something that I could mess around with and try learn how to use. I can get this giant, soft blankets that are pretty thin for like $8, so I could just get two of them, buy an assload of foam beans and try make my own.
>>
Could I make a weighted blanket myself?

Anyone have any advice? I have access to some industrial sewing machines so I think it wouldn't be too hard to sew together two comforters and fill the center with sand
>>
>>34906137
Isn't that what bunk beds are for?
>>
>>34906567
>sew some pockets onto the blankets
>insert plates of your desired weight in them
>sew shut the pockets
>>
>>34906567
>get two pieces of fabric
>sew the edges together, leaving one shorter side open
>measure up the width you want the weighted pockets to be
>sew columns into it
>use bean bag beans with some glass marbles and fill in a small amount of each column
>sew that part of the columns closed and repeat the process until you're at the top.
>>
>>34901739
Tbqh yes

My sister has relatively severe autism and when she use to sleep in bed with my parents she would get under all the sheets and blankets and essentially wanted to be constricted as much as possible
>>
>>34906690
>plates
seems like it wouldn't be too comfortable

>>34906698
>bean bag beans with some glass marbles
I don't know if this would be heavy enough

I am thinking something like ball bearings would be better but that would be expensive

Does anyone here have a weighted blanket and can you tell us about the feeling of the weight?
>>
>>34906567
I don't know how well it would work, but try using rice as a cheap filling.
>>
>be a kid
>laying under big blanket
>pretend it's a monster slowly swallowing me until I'm covered(inside its stomach)
what did I mean by this?

It means you might be a degenerate
>>
>>34906745
Looked into it and the blanket shouldn't be more than 30lbs, like >>34906748 said, rice would probably be a suitable filling for a budget one, alternatively you can get 200 marbles for $33 on aliexpress.

https://www.aliexpress.com/item/10pcs-Blue-Marbles-Flower-Glass-Ball-16mm-Classic-Home-Fish-Tank-Decoration-Aquarium-Game-Play-Craft/2039798642.html

Mix those with the bean bag beans for even weight distribution.
>>
>>34906745
My friend's blanket's filling was very hard, almost like metal ball bearings or airsoft pellets. Try rice.
