Is nofap actually worth trying? I fap once a day; it's not a destructive habit, but I wonder if it's worth giving up.

I don't care about getting a gf or becoming more sociable which is what I've heard nofap helps with. Does it help with normal psychological stuff, like productivity and self-esteem?

Is it solely the act of masturbation itself that's the focus, or looking at pornography as well?

Can any robots share their experiences with nofap?

It's been almost 2 weeks into nofap for me, and personally I don't really feel any difference in my life besides the fact that I'm not wasting time looking at porn and uh, I haven't thought of sex for like very very long. Like I would walk and look at a pretty girl, and I would think she's pretty, that's it. I won't think about how hot she is and stuff like that.

It's really good in some sense.

I've heard some mates of mine tried it, but they've relapsed since their urges just built up - could it be just different results for different people?

I don't know about you but I didn't really feel any urge. Maybe it's because I'm depressed as fuck and I'm really trying to turn my life around by attempting to get fit and not watching porn. It's a mindset issue

I was thinking about creating a thread to ask the same question.

I did went to NoFap for three weeks, but it didn't help. I've heard rumors that if you reach the three month mark, you get a lot of benefits.

Does any Robro managed to go that long without fapping? If so, was it worth it?

If you take female hormones, a man can turn into something more female-like over long stretches of time.

If you increase your male hormones, a man will become more man-like over long stretches of time.

Not fapping causes your male hormones to remain naturally elevated. Maintain it for long stretches of time and you can put two and two together here.

Three months?! I only lasted like one month, that's my personal record. I generally fap once per one or two week.
What it breaks my resolve is a mix of loneliness, boredom, sexual frustration, depression, anxiety and the overall feeling that I haven't achieved anything relevant for my life.
When all these feels accumulate, I'm so horny it becomes unbearable. I can't kill it with alcohol or vidya.

but what if I want to be androgynous?
>>
What you get out of it depends on a lot of things.

The most direct, undeniable result of NoFap is increased sensitivity in your genitals. Almost every other outcome is debatable as fuck.

Willpower (and most of its related characteristics) is flimsily correlated with NoFap, simply because you're willing yourself to NOT do something, rather than specifically replace it with something positive.

Everything relating to hormones/natural physicality/etc. is highly spurious. No/few studies corroborate it (when dealing solely with masturbation), and it doesn't even make sense on a theoretical level. More likely than not, it's a placebo effect.

In a nutshell: there's not much of a benefit to doing NoFap, unless you're susceptible to bullshit (and I'd guess most people on /r9k/ are). Do it if you feel you've been doing it too much, if you just feel like it, or if you want to increase your sensitivity. Otherwise, it's a waste of effort. Just fix your life instead, you idiot.

I want to try nofap only because i want to be able to go back to "normal" porn it makes me sick when i get horny by looking at traps

No fap feels good if you are fit or actively getting fit.
