This is it r9k. I have been on a long journey and I have finally achieved happiness. You wouldn't be in this thread right now if you didn't want the same for yourself. Over the past several months I have undergone a dramatic lifestyle change and a total reset of the way I think and see the world. I only changed 3 daily habits and they are pretty easy to adjust to.
1. Cold Showers
2. Blended Fruit Diet
3. No Porn
I will explain each with subsequent posts so listen up...
1. Cold Showers
What the hell is the point of this? Physiologically it releases more testosterone and adrenaline and both of these will help you to feel better. It can keep you awake when you want to be, and if taken before bed, can also help with insomnia when it's time to go to sleep. Psychologically, it is an exercise in willingly going outside of your comfort zone on the most basic fundamental level. Best of all, if you like 3 showers a day like I do, your electricity costs to heat water are non-existent.
2. Blended Fruit Diet
Some, if not most of us, are overweight and that depresses us, so we eat more to feel better. The key thing here is the 'feel better' part. When you eat food you enjoy, your brain releases dopamine. You feel like shit in-between meals because, after all the years of food abuse, your brain has released so much dopamine, that dopamine receptors become less abundant and less receptive to dopamine, so the times between highs become depressive. You end up eating, not to feel a high, but to relieve the depressed state and return your emotions to normality. This is a similar effect seen in long term drug abusers.
Get yourself a nurtibullet or ninja or whatever they are calling them nowadays, and only throw in fruits and vegetables and replace 2 meals a day with those juices. Now this isn't going to be a drastic transformation like actual juicing because we are still consuming all the fiber and nutrition of the fruits and vegetables rather than just the juice. This means it's a lot easier since you actually feel full after each drink. You will feel a little hungry between juices but this will become less of a problem after the first 3 days as your body stops worrying about crying out for food and enters a survival mode in the hunt for food. You will have more energy and actually feel better during this time because your body has to be in better shape in order to actually get food and on top of that you'll be burning fat reserves.
3. No Porn
This is the one you've been waiting for. Guess what? No fap works, but not how you might think. It's not the lack of cumming that does anything, rather the lack of pornography. Similar to food, whenever you view pornography your dopamine goes through the roof, and when combined with simultaneous sexual stimulation, the dopamine levels experienced is comparable to morphine. The same effect occurs here as did with the previous food explanation and long term exposure to those levels of dopamine can result in serious emotional downfalls leading to abuse, where you jack off to simply feel better than you currently are, rather than out of actual arousal.
It is totally okay to jack off, so long as you do it unaided and fairly quickly, as any kind of sexual stimulation will result in a dopamine spike, but as long as it is ended fairly fast and not experienced again for a short time (every 2 or 3 days I'd recommend), then effects should be very minimal.
As you've probably noticed, most of our depressive states are a direct result of dopamine overload which has lead to dopamine abuse. This exercise is aimed at resetting those dopamine levels. I am likely to continue this for much much longer than 30 days. Cold showers for the rest of my life from this point on.
Try it, come back in 30 days an dtell me you don't feel better.

The thing I am touching on is resetting our dopamine by restricting the way we abuse it by limiting activities that release massive amounts (i.e. Porn and Food).
