I went from drinking a few beers my whole life to downing a bottle of Vodka every week. The day that started was the lowest point of my life.

My mommy says you have a drinking problem "if you can't have just one." Is that true?

I can have just one so I must be in the clear.

The FDA recommends no more than 14 drinks per week and no more than 4 drinks in any given day. If you can adhere to those guidelines without experiencing any discomfort or cravings, then you probably have nothing to fear.

For me, drinking is just something i do in the evening if i'm bored, but i have no problem quitting, or even not drinking for weeks or months on end.
Ask yourself: could you stop drinking alcohol for 1 month starting today, right now?
If you can easily answer yes, then you dont have a drinking problem.
if you are not sure, try it out for 1 month.
if the answer is no, you have a drinking problem.

I woke up exactly 3 minutes ago. Once i manage to get myself out of bed, I will be having a smoke on my walk to the bottle store, which I will start drinking once I get home.
