Most of the ones I've talked to have actually had boyfriends and kissed guys, almost all of them have friends (usually ones who are prettier and make them jealous). Some claim to be virgins but it's obviously very easy for them to lie. Regarding my own standing in relation to many of my coworkers, it really is that bad. My main job is in aerospace, I'm a welder and I have no education beyond HS, and a good chunk of the engineers I work with come from schools like Caltech, CMU, MIT, Cal, Stanford, and the like. When you mention aerospace engineer many people have this notion of a scrawny nerd, but in reality a bunch of these guys and girls are extremely attractive, social, have numerous interesting hobbies, in addition to being very bright. I know it helps a lot of people, so it might be a really good idea for you to see someone like a psychiatrist. It can make a big difference for a lot of people with ADHD. I'm just a bit hesitant around stuff like medications because I had bad experiences with psychiatrists in the past, but I know they weren't typical. I mostly function OK without medication, so I figure it just isn't worth it for me to be taking them all the time. Stuff like adderall doesn't mix well with alcohol and I enjoy having a drink here and there for example.

I have no idea how people get over things like a cheating partner. It's been almost a year and I don't feel any different.
