Yeah i'm not going to hang around people just to get ignored and talked over, or treated like a child. I end up forced into these things all the time but avoid it as much as possible. Nobody actually wants to talk to me. I lose regardless of what I do.

Now whenever I am forced to go to one of these things, I always say fuck it and look disheveled and say nothing unless asked a direct question and then I give the bare minimum response required to be polite. I get bothered less now.

What to do when 18 and still living with family, and they think I hate them and am the worst thing ever to them?

i don't go to family reunions or get togethers, sometimes i go to close family member birthdays at restaurants but thats about it. i avoid this shit as much as possible, they don't really want to see me anyway

Try talking to them and being honest. Distancing yourself from your family means they're more concerned with you than angry, even if they give off the image. Communication has to go two ways or you will not get anywhere.
