A few times a week, why? I don't think it's related

A lot, but most importantly it balances your hormone levels and improves cognitive function.

19 fogbro here, i feel like there's no way i can learn from reading anymore, let alone go back to uni. Normies always say "you can pick yourself up xDDDDDD", but they don't see robotics as the downward sprial of irreversible damage (ex. Time and bliss lost) it really is

You could have a gluten sensitivity or intolerance. This is one of the effects of ingesting wheat or gluten-contaminated foods.
Blood testing for food sensitivities isn't very accurate, so the best way to tell is go completely gluten-free for about a week. Understand that you can't have contact with even minute quantities of this stuff, which often appears as contamination as a result of foods being processed on shared assembly lines with wheat products. This means any food you buy has to be explicitly labeled as gluten-free.
There are also two other things to watch out for: Handling your food directly can also contaminate it, because it's likely you've had some physical contact with gluten by handling other things throughout the day. Using dishes that have ever come in contact with wheat will contaminate your gluten-free foods. During your gluten-free phase, you'll need to use brand new dishes, and never let them come in contact with wheat products. Thoroughly washing a dish isn't necessarily enough to remove all minute traces of gluten from it.
>>34825322
Boron would help, and start exercising every other day as well as eating test boosting foods (like green olives)

That's the craziest thing I've read this entire hour.
Pretty sure it's still depression for me. I do things extremely slowly, can barely do simple tasks, have to concentrate for almost everything, etc. while having this brain fog. I have short term memory loss too.
>Put deodorant on
>5 seconds later I can't remember if I put deodorant
I'm 25 too. I don't expect to live very long because I don't exercise and lie in bed or sit down all day. If I don't have a heart attack or kill myself in my 30s I'll be surprised.
>Anglos have an unscientific medical term for every made up mental condition/mood/temperament ever

Literally me.
I feel like a legit retard with an IQ of 90.
How to we change this shit bro?
>>34825347
Although it's definitely a possibility, my diet is controlled by the food which is offered at my university, and although they do offer gluten free options, they are almost definitely not stringently maintained so no gluten contamination occurs.
So it would be fairly expensive for me to try to not get any gluten into my system for a week because I would have to buy all my food myself, and I also think a week wouldn't really be enough time to tell if there's a significant difference between my current cognitive capability and my gluten free one.
Are you on a gluten free diet anon? Do you think it has helped you?
>>34825538
No idea. I get so overwhelmed trying to think of how to improve myself because there's so much, I just give up.
>>34825421

>>34825847
>This is why your primitive language is always loaning words from English
many english words are loaned from other languages as well
the existence of loan words doesn't mean a language is primitive, it simply means that interaction between two populations with different languages has occured

>>34826388
This is what I'm afraid of.
Maybe I'm just a legit retard
>>34826388
>What's the difference between brain fog and just being stupid?
The difference is I was not this stupid before
I used to be able to talk coherently and intelligently, I used to easily understand complicated concepts which now take time for me to wrap my head around. My brain doesn't work as well as it did before, and I can remember how I felt before. That difference is brain fog
>>34824957

>>34826611
>long term depression
I don't think I am depressed though
I always saw depression as kind of a meme to bee honest, I don't think many of the people who claim to have depression actually have a mental illness or disorder, but if they feel medicine helps them then I suppose there's no reason for someone uneducated on mental illness like me to have an opinion on this
what are the symptoms of long term depression?
>>34826549
>What the hell is brainfrog??
You know how sometimes your computer gets slow?
you can't move the mouse without glitching, webpages open up slowly, things like that
brain fog is kinda similar for your brain. You just can't think as fast as you can normally, you make mistakes and don't remember things like maybe after stepping out of the shower you can't remember if you shampooed three minutes ago. Stuff like that.
>>34824957
You are not alone. Shit sucks.

Stop masturbating
Stop eating junk food
Stop drinking soda
Stop consuming drugs of ANY kind (including weed, alcohol, caffeine or sugar)
Stop sitting at the computer 16 hours a day
Start exercising
Start reading books
Start taking cold showers
Start drinking more water
Start learning a new skill or hobby
Start socializing with more people and gaining new contacts
>>34827035
Sorry, I forgot the most important one:
STOP BROWSING FUCKING 4CHAN ALL DAY
This place is like cancer for your mind, body and soul.
I was real young when I first got brain fog (which makes my story that much more sad) around 11-12 by 15 it got so bad that I started using weed and found it made me not care about having brain fog, then gradually I started using ecstasy everyday from 15 1/2 to 20 when I got to 20 I attempted suicide, went soper for 3 years, then at 23 I started using every drug imaginable meth, coke/rocks, weed every second, different powders, 12 25mg pills of benadryl just to keep the nausea that all the drug use caused away, chugging cough syrup (codeine/prometh or dxm/prometh didnt matter), lanllos (lan-yos, twas what the surenos called pcp).
oh wait there s the brain fog i forgot whats going on
>>34827333
>it got so bad that I started using weed
???
if it gets bad that's when you STOP using weed
>>34826701
>stepping out of the shower you can't remember if you shampooed three minutes ago

How much sleep do you guys get?

>>34825012
Same here although around 18 - 19.
Used to get straight A's on exams. Now I'm lucky to pass. No problem doing large research exercises and my thesis was a breeze but a lot of days I literally just cannot think and cannot organize information. I really need my computer to keep everything organised on the most basic level and that isn't an option during exams.
Either there is something in the water or day in - day out use of computer for decades has completely fucked up my brain.
>>34827035
>>34827284
You forgot the even more important one:

Do 30 mins cardio and 10 minutes meditation every day. You can work up to those amounts as long as you make a commitment to doing it every single day. Also cut out any processed foods with added sugar. This will cure the brain fog.

The last anon is correct. This is called psychomotor retardation.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Psychomotor_retardation
The brain and body are connected, when one slows down, the other slows down as well. If you want your mind to speed up, go exercise.
>>34828507
kek, its not that. they work at home and i get shit when i help them with house work.

>>34827035
>Start reading books
I don't get this advice, the person that advices me to read books always give me a bullshit fiction book. Fiction books and other types of entertainment are the means people use to spread cancerous propaganda (usually the result of the authors mental illnesses and frustrations) and that alone saddens and disgusts me so fucking much.
>>34828652

OP do you read or play puzzle games or do anything that might keep your mind sharp?
Also do you exercise? Eat healthy?
Just curious.
>>34829212
You're the only one with a mental illness. A proper work of literature is only going to expand your mind. If it bothers you so much though, just read nonfiction.

this is a sad but true redpill
4chan addiction has broken me down, although I went away from playing so much vidya so it's basically the same thing. I'm hooked here chuckling like a retard after some anon falls for my b8 posts, or after I see a funny post or a savage roast. I samefag on boards as opposing sides because I crave butthurt and conflict, and then I chuckle at the reactions I get from both sides. Different anon, but I had a Paperwhite. Nice device, but if you don't want to buy books you have to either find them in the format it supports (for example you can't read pdfs with it) or convert them to the file it supports with calibre or a similar program.
>>34830395
Hell yeah, you can find a lot on BookZZ and you can change their format with Calibre. That's the reason I've been thinking about getting one, my local library is terrible and there's no way I could afford buying the books I want nor do I have the space for it. I do not think I am getting brain fog because of my diet
>>34831422
Well I dunno about any other drugs but as far as caffeine goes, it's okay if it's infrequent. From my understanding it triggers a fight/flight response by provoking release of adrenaline, which is good for a huge burst of energy for working out, not so much longterm
The human body acclimates to that stuff fucking quick, it messes with your head if you're not careful
