In my vast experience as a 20yo KV:

>don't force it too quick, make it gradual
>start with regularly asking her to do something small so she gets used to doing things you ask of her

Again, don't make it a sudden change, she will resist and not change at all. Keep it gradual, and realise that you have to be the person making decisions even in small situations if you want her to accept you making the bigger decisions or telling her to do things
