yes, the issue is that it comes from qualitative sociological/psychiatric trends instead of empirical, hard tested data. the reality is that it doesn't matter, an observation is an observation and there can be a lot of truth to the personality types and their behaviors. trends don't cease to exist because we can't definitively and quantitatively describe those trends. it's a good ballpark of what you can expect of people/where their comfort zones are.
