My best friend since middle school (we became really good friends because everyone thought we were fucking horrifying) fell for the fit meme and started working out a few years ago. Now, he has a pretty legit six pack and is pretty muscular. However he still has yet to get pussy or even have a girl flirt with him. Want to know why? If your faced is fucked, then you're fucked, no exceptions. This is blatantly false, even the briefest time on Google scholar will show you're full of shit. It's not magic, quantum mechanics, or discipline. If you inject low dose testosterone you will gain more muscle and lose more fat than someone eating clean and training daily. If you lift twice a week you will gain very close to what a three and four times a week group achieve. Even keeping the weight gained isn't anything fancy. I'm not a gym autist anymore but lost no more than 15lbs while doing nothing more than a couple sets of pushups and pistol squats every few days and switching to Telmisartan for blood pressure. The Telmisartan is fascinating in that it retains muscle mass even in rats where the muscles mere rendered flaccid. Control rats lost as much mass as you'd expect from no muscle tone.

Twice a week for 45 minutes each session on a beginner program like sl or ss will quickly put weight on someone as long as they increase their daily energy by 200ish kcal. Optimization is fun to sperg out over, but more for reading because any gains from it are so minimal it is better to just spend the time lifting.
