If you focus on one thing at a time then it's easy to spot differences. I'm not sure where I implied that doing any action will make you better at it. I guess it's a matter of perspective, by default (under control of the ego) we recognise differences between ourselves and the environment which can lead us to believe we're different and/or special. However if you can detach from the ego you'll find that you're not different, and that yes a medieval child that died at the age of 7 IS essentially equal to Da Vinci when you consider them as a whole - they both had their problems, they both had a favourite meal, they both had favorite pastimes, they both had opinions, they both lived, and they both died, as will you and I. The details of these things are what would lead someone to believe that they're special, but ultimately the details don't matter.
