Things don't go wrong often on 3rd shift (way more likely on 1st or 2nd), but when they do, and you don't know what to do, that's your job. You essentially need to be a Master Electrician with additional training specific to the hardware you have to use in order to last here. You might be able to slide if you're a REALLY experienced Journeyman, though.

That said, if you know what to do, its not that bad. Calling customers slow you down more than anything, because you HAVE to field calls and answer.

99% of the time that power isn't back on within 2 minutes, it's because the operator can only do work for 4 rings, then have to take customer information, hang up, and spring into action again.
