I think i know what you mean. Feels like youre being held underwater, like no matter how much you try you cant catch your breath. I went through this for years. Unless it's actually a health problem you just have to wait it out and eventually it'll stop happening.

Exercise helps, it gets heavily suppressed if you go on a long jog. I ended up being able to run half a marathon because I ran so much to get away from the feeling of suffocation.
