I grew up in CA but moved to North Idaho with my parents when they retired. I could have moved back but I never have and never will...I'm almost 30 now.

Comparatively, I make about 70 and I have a great standard of living. I own land with a view, have enough to invest, and will probably be buying my first sailboat this year.

I've got thousands of square miles of empty forest and hundred of kilometers of trails that I still haven't seen all of. I mountain bike on my off days and rarely see other people.

And yet, if I want to visit a botanical garden, or see a movie, or a concert, or an art exhibit, it's all within an hour's drive.

So no, I am not jealous. I don't miss California. There's nothing to miss.

Also, while we're dissing your abhorrent state, I have a huge collection of firearms under next to no regulation. If I want a gun I just go buy it. If I want a 30, 60, 100 round magazine, I buy it (more like buy five). And nobody gives a fuck, because it's nobody's business.

The new stuff being built along 101 is almost 3x as dense as AC2, and 3x as dense as the old stuff they tore down to build it.
