The key is to browse multiple boards, because any splinter robot boards are much slower. But slower chans are so much more rewarding. r9k really takes a nosedive in quality when it gets as fast as it is now. People who make insightful posts and encourage discussion get drowned out by shitposting and three word replies.

When on a slower chan, each post counts. And your post is going to be there for weeks, or even months, so you put more effort into it.

It's truly much more comfy over there on those chans.
