I see this advice often but I don't get why people promote weed. I could never smoke every day or even every other day. Drinking is different. You can drink some beers a night and still work in the morning.

Really? It's the opposite for me. After a night of even mild drinking, I wind up sleeping in later than I usually would, and generally feel kinda groggy and weak. With smoking weed I can even get work done while I'm stoned if I need to. By the next day I'm totally fine. I guess it's different from person to person.

I've been doing that pretty consistently since I turned 21. I can take a few days off no problem so I don't think I'm an alcohol but I have high blood pressure at 26 and I know it's from me drinking. I woke up hung over because I drank 85% of a bottle of vodka last night. I decided to drink these last 3 shots before I go to class. I have 2 labs today.

I smoked weed every day from my teens until I turned 21. Even though it just got legalized in my state it's a schedule 1 drug and employers can fire you for using it. Back when I used it it was constant paranoia about cops because it was illegal. Also it made me stupid all of the time. I've taken chemistry exams still wasted from the night before and gotten A's. I couldn't do that in a stony haze.

I just think this is interesting because I basically spent the entirety of college organic chemistry I and II stoned out of my mind and scored top of the class most of the time. I guess you just gotta pick your own poison, eh?
