Not exactly fit for this thread but I have many of the same problems. I have fucking shit memory, so I often forget instructions given to me as they go.
While other students can memorize proofs in uni I have to understand then completely and be able to reproduce them because I am not going to remember any of that shit. Which means a LOT more work than any of the other students.

Often I solve assignments but then when asked how I did it I cannot remember to explain and have to go back to my notes and read them to the person.
If I get the same questions as in the assignments in the exam, I cannot remember how I did them and have to solve them again.

Sucks.
Luckily I am very good at theory and math, so I still get good grades.

The problem is I cannot memorize stuff even if I want to. There are some good aspects to this, but having to derive trigonometrical identities (for example) every time because I cannot remember them exactly is tedious and time consuming (I just make a slip, but it feel horrible).

Others have the choice when to memorize something unimportant and move on and when to learn it. I don't, this leads to instances where I buy books on subjects that we've just briefly touched in class and learn them during the semester alone, because I can't just memorize shit and move on.

Had massive problems with this in science class in high school. teacher would lay out the step by step instructions for the experiement and I would never remember them. Every other student just went on with their experiments like it was nothing which just pissed me off even more

I deliberately took as long as possible organizing and retrieving the money because I get confused so easily, had to get out my calculator and make sure what I gave her was right after she left. I failed the financial math exam on 28th of January. I'll have to resit it on 13th February, I'm in the state of dispair now. Anon Dickens is much easier than Shakespeare but both can be quite dense.
