Oldfag here. Nobody cares - even normal people - when you pass the age of 20. The next birthday your family will be interested in is 40 as a 'haha, you're half way to the grave moment'. Once you get older you realise there's nothing to celebrate about another year passing, reminding you of your own insipid mortality combined with the realisation you have done nothing valuable with your life.
