I used to have a very well paying job in a company before it went bankrupt and we got all laid off.

Having more money that I could spend before my next paychecks definitely made me happier than before, when I was earning minimun wage, because for the first time I had options. I could buy anything and go anywhere I wanted without worrying about a thing.

Sure, I was still a khv, but had I somehow met a girl around that time, I would have been able to go on dates with her, and if things turned out well I had enough money to move in with her.

Having money made my life so much happier, just because I was able to decide what I wanted to do. Losing it is definitely the worst thing that has happened to me, since I spiraled down into depression again, which led to 4 years of NEETness that have made me unemployable.
