Anyone here done this? Dropkick Murphys are in my city tonight and my friend cancelled yesterday, couldn't find replacement. Considering going alone, but I'm worried I'll get too depressed seeing groups of people having fun. I read on some blogs that it can be an enjoyable experience, but I don't think these blogs considered the fact that the goer could be socially retarded, so I figured it'd be better I asked here. Any experiences with this?

I wouldn't go if I were you. Stay in and order a pizza or something.
You should go, I gave up on going with others to concerts because I don't know anyone who'd want to go with me.
It'll be worth it, lots of people go alone, don't focus on the other people, just focus on the band and the music.

Yeah I go to see music by myself all the time. None of my friends are into the same music as me so why wouldn't I?
I didn't realize this was a big deal?

That's kind off true, whenever I'm at any event with loud music, I feel aloneish anyway because it's hard to talk or interact with the people I'm with.
