I don't buy figures anymore because I've transcended from shallow consumerism but when I did buy them I would only get one or two a year and just not spend a cent of my allowance for months then order them directly from Japan instead of a middleman site with ridiculous markups like J-List

Unless you buy 5 a month or something $100-150 every 3 months or so isn't a lot, even for a NEET granted you do your chores like a good boy.

I never bought figures. Way too expensive, and I have no where to put them.

I just spend all my money on vidya and comic books.

I was close plenty of times to buy figs but thankfully not only I live on a poor country (so these things are ubeliveably expensive here) but I was shamed through my entire childhood for my hobbies and preferences and I wouldn't dare to have one.

I think if I ever buy one it would one of the timeless classics, the cute girls of the week would look dumb after a while.
