I feel like a cooler twist would have been if the scientist was AI the whole time. They said to pass the test the human had to not know it was talking to a computer. The nerd never suspected the chad as being a robot and they seemed to go out of their way to make him a distinct character with weird traits and hobbies and the ghostbusters reference.
