The person I spoke to over the phone said she figured I'd probably leave after finding a new opportunity and wouldn't be worth the training cost. While she was right, I don't get how a person is supposed to survive and earn when they're unacceptably accomplished on one hand and too low down on the other.

The manager at Domino's was shocked that I even fucking had a resume.

Join a small local family run place that has like 6 people working there, they hire anyone and will get less applicants than a McD or large store chain.
I applied to a small family business, got an interview, and got the job on the same day.
For references I usually use high school teachers who I know are on maternity leave or have left so if they call for a reference they wouldn't reach them
Also "2 years experience" is just used to weed out the weak applicants, 2 years just means some experience and it doesn't even have to be experience in that role, usually just experience in that type of workplace environment
