Who else suspects that Hillary took a dive for Trump and all the big players we've heard about for the past couple years are all friends offstage?

saw a documentary about Trump Hotels... the Clintons have their name engraved in gold in one of the locker rooms.

If Trump is that good at Machiavellian political manipulation, he deserves the presidency.

Trust your red state brothers and sisters. Rural folks are smarter than you realize. Farming is a challenging low-margin business that normally requires a bachelor's degree, and involves working with big money, real estate, complex regulations and legal contracts, and advanced technology. It is one of the most highly-skilled and mentally-challenging professions available. A farmer might only make a middle-class income in profit, but even regular-sized farms move millions of dollars around to make that happen.

Fucking city folk think we're all a bunch of ignorant wino high-school dropouts or something. But the United States has the most efficient and most productive agricultural and resource extraction sectors on Earth. Per person, per acre, however you want to measure it, we're on top. Rural America is why our country is rich and prosperous. We are the most powerful country on Earth because our rural population is very smart, very skilled, and very capable. Unlike your moronic politicians, Trump listens to us. So if the city folk would stop rioting like idiots and let us fix the damn stupid domestic and foreign policy train wreck your corrupt politicians have been piling up since the Eisenhower administration, that would be great.

That's not what happened. We had a confluence of events that allowed Trump to squeak by in the electoral college on about 100k votes. You had a lot of angry people, many of whom made their decision blinded by that anger. You had two candidates who were equally reviled. You had a complete media circus, where coverage was driven by corporate profit motives and not the need to inform the public. There was almost no coverage of issues and policy, just Clinton emails and "look what Trump said today!"

The Clinton campaign was just about what a bad guy Trump is. They didn't focus on issues and how they were going to make peoples' lives better. They assumed that people that voted for Obama would automatically come out to vote for her. They didn't connect with voters on a basic, human level. Even after the loss they still won't take responsibility for that. They blame it all on Comey and Russian interference, but ignore their own culpability. While those might have been the last stones to tip the balance, it should have never been that close in the first place. Their fatal flaw was arrogance.

Trump meanwhile says, literally, that he's going to make all voters' dreams come true. America is going to "win again" whatever that means. He's bringing all the jobs back that were taken by illegal immigrants, despite the fact that they were actually lost due to things like automation and market changes. He's going to make everybody a winner with tax reform, despite just giving massive tax cuts at the top. Social security and healthcare are going to be fucked. He's already rolled over on prescription drug pricing.

Every day is chaos and Mike Pence's farthest-right agenda because Trump doesn't care about governing. His dream scenario was to win the popular vote and lose the electoral college. All of the adulation and none of the responsibility and he gets to "win".

Bernie could have saved us were it not for DNC plotting against him and the media ignoring him.

Are you absolutely sure that there aren't any illegal immigrants working jobs that would otherwise be done by Americans or other people with a legal right to be in our country and work? Maybe not just a couple million? You know, it's only a couple million or so, at least, maybe. But nah, all those jobs the illegals have been doing are just magically gone and can't come back, right?

I'm not saying there are no illegal immigrants doing those jobs. I'm sure there are, it's just not the major factor. The wall won't keep robots out.

It won't keep everything undesirable from seeping through our border but it will help to stem the flow. Sure, the cartels can always find another way around by going under land, or by sea or air, but many people who cross are absolutely average people and just literally walk across. There's also the coyotes and criminals which sexually exploit many of the females involved. Or is enabling that sort of thing OK with you?

Trump told people lies that made them feel good.
Hillary told people unpleasant truths.

People decided they'd rather have bullshit, than try to fix problems.

Nah wikileaks had a big effect though. It showed what Hillary was really thinking. Kinda like how she would claim not be for open borders but yet the emails she wrote said she dreams of a world of fully open borders with open trade. She also told bankers in a speech she had a public economic plan and her "real" plan. She also detailed her plans to invade other countries. For instance Libya was the first government she wanted toppled which she did as secretary of state. She is extremely upset when she could not convince Obama to a full scale invasion of Syria. So when she would become president her first order of business was to topple the Syrian government. After that she would would invade Iran to force a war with Russia which was her end goal. There is also another email where she was complaining that there were not enough males in the US for her draft for a war with Russia. Which is where she came up with the idea of drafting women. Which is why /pol/ made those "draft our daughters" images they were putting all over social media. It was based on that email. Basically Hillary was blatantly lying her ass off to public about what she was really going to do. My favorite email though was Podesta calling Germany a banana republic for letting themselves be overrun by Muslims.

So much for the discussion of manufacturing job loss, I guess.

I also like your false dichotomy that we can either build the wall or cartels will have free reign for drug and sex trafficking. Nothing in between, and there are no other ways to address those problems.

You want to address the drug problem? How about we stop treating drug addiction like a law enforcement issue and start treating it like what it is: a healthcare issue. Criminalizing it hasn't worked, and in fact it often exacerbates the problem, but throwing people in jail allows politicians to say that they're "tough on crime." "Just say no," and treating drug addiction as a failure may allow people to feel morally superior, but it doesn't fix the problem.

Meanwhile if you treat people you reduce the demand for drugs, you reduce the number of repeat offenders and reduce the number of incarcerated Americans. It saves us money and improves the lives of former addicts. Not to mention fewer customers for the cartels.

*treating drug addiction as a failure of character
That's what I get for not proofreading.
