I don't know who gave the order to enforce the "No fun" rule so heavily, if it was moot or whatever, but I really wish they didn't honestly

when your moderation actions result in dozens of splinter communities maybe you shoud step back and realize, you know, are we doing the right thing?

This whole fucking site changed so much, there are very few threads where you can get the comfy IRC chat vibe you could find before, you know?

only some generals on /jp/ and a few other places are actually comfy now

Everything else gets deleted. The range of topics is so constrained I wonder why I still even go there. They don't even allow one hikki/NEET thread, which to me is very much "Otaku culture"

Boards need active moderation to some extent or everything decays into /b/, but there needs to be some kind of functioning appeals process, somebody needs to give a shit. Rules should protect communities, not destroy them
