I went in expecting some crappy guitar tune but that's really good ! Honestly, it's the kind of music you would find on bigger yt channels. Only thing that I find quite weird is between 0:11 and 0:13, when your transitioning from the "intro" to the "core" of the song, it's like the music briefly bugged and there's no sound playing(the rest of the transition is great btw).
But I'm no music expert so ask a few other people to be sure.adding it to my playlist

Thanks man, means a lot you say this. I haven't achieved much with my music but would love to do this a lot more. Also, the intro part was really hard to transition because the bpm is completely different. Tried my best, but I'll work on it some more. Thanks again.

I'm a mobilecuck, but would anyone want to make a YouTube playlist of all the links in these sorts of threads? Maybe make a robot YouTube account to do it?
I'm just listening to Owl City and some Trampled by Turtles right now.

I have tried desperately to get Knopfler's thumb plays the bass rhythm fingers play lead thing going with my right hand on guitar but with no luck. Probably too lazy to ever learn that.
There is a whole album Kitsune America 3 featuring that kind of artwork, not sure if the tracks on it are any good though. Kitsune as a record label used to have the type of OP tracks I liked here and there, but haven't listened much recently to them.

I played guitar back in HS, always sucked at it. I think being left-handed might have had a bit to do with it, because I never played a left-handed guitar (because that's for divas). But in the end, I just didn't have a very good motivation and so I didn't practice enough.
Do you have a band or just do guitar as a solo hobby thing?

>makes me remember my years spent living in the sands (or more accurately, dust) of Nevada
At the time it felt great, I kind of forgot what I was missing outside that city until I left it.

Just as a bedroom noodling type of thing and for my friends if they're around or there is a guitar around. Which is very rarely. I can do most of blues/rock/pop stuff and I can play a bit eastern type of solo stuff as well (I like the eastern mediteranean folksy stuff which is basically greek/turkish/jewish and have good memories from visiting those places). But I can't do anything jazz or classical, too hard for me and I have no desire to pick up on a lot of theory. I also don't really have the desire or the discipline to learn to play mistake-free or completely clean with perfect tempo.
Bit more JJ Cale who influenced Knopfler among others:
